This Cod Piccata is flaky, buttery, and packed with zesty flavor from lemon, dill, and capers. A quick, elevated seafood dinner you’ll want to make again and again!

Directions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry and sprinkle generously with seafood seasoning.
  2. Coat each piece in chicken fry mix or seasoned flour, pressing to adhere.
  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cod and sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  4. Add a spoonful of compound butter and a few lemon slices to the pan as the fish cooks.
  5. Once the cod is mostly cooked, add fresh dill and capers to the pan. Pour in a splash of seafood stock.
  6. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and let everything simmer for 1–2 minutes until warmed through.
  7. Spoon the sauce over the cod and serve hot, garnished with extra dill and lemon if desired.
