Blacken Salmon Sliders
Ingredients:
Blackened Seasoning
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar (optional for a sweet balance)
Cholesterol Friendly Garlic Aioli (with avocado mayo)
- 1/2 cup avocado mayo
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- salt and pepper seasoning
- 1 pound Salmon (skin removed) Sliced to the size of the slider buns
- Slider Buns
- Bib lettuce
- Red Onion
- Cheese (optional)
- sliced avocado (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prep the Aioli:
Mix all aioli ingredients in a bowl. Chill in the fridge while the sliders cook.
2. Prepare the Salmon:
Pat the salmon dry and cut into slider-sized portions (about 2–3 inches wide).
Rub with olive oil and generously coat all sides with blackened seasoning.
3. Cook the Salmon:
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon for 3–4 minutes per side, or until blackened and cooked through.
4. Assemble Sliders:
Toast slider buns if desired.
Spread aioli on both buns, add arugula/spinach, top with salmon and any extras like tomato or pickles.
5. Serve immediately with sweet potato fries, salad, or veggie chips!
