Ina Garten’s Brownie Pudding

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

  2. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.

  3. Beat the eggs and sugar together for about 5 minutes until thick and pale.

  4. Slowly mix in the melted butter.

  5. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Fold gently until smooth.

  6. Stir in vanilla extract.

  7. Pour into a buttered 8×8 baking dish.

  8. Place that dish into a larger roasting pan and carefully pour hot water around it until it reaches halfway up the sides (water bath).

  9. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes  top set, center still soft and gooey.

Let rest 10–15 minutes, then scoop warm.
