Homemade Hot Chocolate
There’s nothing more comforting than a rich cup of hot cocoa on a cool day. This recipe combines both dark and milk chocolate for extra depth, and the whipped cream and hazelnut pirouline add a luxurious touch.
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons sugar
2 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
1 ounce milk chocolate, chopped
Toppings: whipped cream, chocolate shavings, hazelnut pirouline sticks

Instructions
- Warm the Milk: In a medium saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling. Stir frequently to avoid burning.
- Mix the Cocoa and Sugar: In a small bowl, mix the cocoa powder and sugar. Once the milk is warm, whisk in the cocoa-sugar mixture until it’s completely dissolved.
- Melt the Chocolate: Add the chopped dark and milk chocolate to the saucepan. Stir constantly until all the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Serve and Garnish: Pour the hot cocoa into mugs. Top with whipped cream, sprinkle chocolate shavings, and serve with hazelnut pirouline sticks on the side for dipping.
