Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Filling:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the cooked chicken with the Alfredo sauce.
- Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
- Heat the mixture until it’s warmed through and the chicken is fully coated. If adding spinach or arugula, toss it in and cook for 1–2 minutes, just until wilted. Set aside.
- Melt the Cheese:
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and sprinkle ¼ of the shredded mozzarella directly onto the skillet in an even layer.
- Let the cheese melt and bubble slightly, forming a golden, crispy base (this takes about 2–3 minutes).
- Place the Tortilla on Top:
- Once the cheese is melted and slightly crisped, place a flour tortilla directly on top of the cheese.
- Gently press it down so the cheese sticks to the tortilla. Use a spatula to flip the tortilla, now with the cheesy side facing up.
- Assemble the Wrap:
- Quickly add ¼ of the chicken Alfredo mixture to one side of the tortilla.
- Fold the tortilla in half, pressing gently to seal the filling. Remove from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining cheese, tortillas, and filling.
- Toast the Wraps (Optional):
- If you prefer a crispier wrap, add a bit of olive oil or butter to the skillet and toast each side of the folded tortilla for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve:
- Slice the wraps in half and serve warm.
- Pair with extra Alfredo sauce for dipping or a side salad for a lighter contrast.
Tips
- Swap mozzarella for a blend of parmesan and provolone for extra flavor.
- Add cooked bacon or sautéed mushrooms to the filling for extra indulgence.
